Abdominal Doppler Ultrasound Training Course from Advanced Health Education Center

Abdominal Doppler has become an addition in the arsenal of tools available to the physician to aid in the diagnosis of their patients. Abdominal Doppler ultrasound allows ultrasound specialists to evaluate blood flow through the arteries and veins of the abdomen. This procedure combines both traditional ultrasound and Doppler ultrasound which records sound waves that reflect off of moving objects like blood. Using both techniques helps to diagnose obstructions in blood flow to abdominal organs, and help to detect conditions such as abdominal masses, gallbladder disease, and gallstones, as well as problems in the liver, kidneys, pancreas or spleen. The performance of Abdominal Doppler ultrasound procedure requires the clinician to have a thorough and complete understanding of abdominal anatomy and vasculature to perform the Abdominal Doppler ultrasound.

Advanced Health Education Center’s Abdominal Doppler ultrasound course has both a lecture and hands on scanning component. This one-day seminar provides an overview of abdominal vasculature and hemodynamics, and diagnostic criteria suitable for anyone from an experienced sonographer to the beginner. Our scan lab and state of the art equipment, along with our low student instructor ratios allow you plenty of time to perfect your Abdominal Doppler protocol, and acquire the scanning experience necessary to perform diagnostic abdominal vascular exams.
