Advanced Health Education Center has been providing high quality ultrasound skills training for 35 years and is well known for its practicality and clinical orientation.? Our training approach selects the information most vital to the procedures and builds a framework that enables rapid assimilation of useful scanning tools. Correlation of lecture and hands-on scanning is highly specialized with emphasis on learning the “must know” information by scanning live models supervised by expert faculty. The curriculum is designed to produce skills that quickly transfer to the workplace.

AHEC is centrally located in Houston, Texas and provides regularly scheduled ultrasound training courses Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Musculoskeletal, and Ultrasound Guided Venous Access.

AHEC’s ultrasound courses can be provided on-site for healthcare facilities or medical groups through individual contract courses. Customized courses can also be designed and provided based on the client?needs.

Advanced Health Education Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing education for physicians.

  • Ultrasound Continuing Medical Education Course Structure

    Our ultrasound courses are offered in one, two, three, four and five day sessions so that participants can choose the course that offers the right number of credits for their specific needs. Each course includes a lecture component, a series of case studies designed to inform participants about common and uncommon cases relevant to the ultrasound in the course, and a hands-on module that gives all participants adequate time to familiarize themselves with performing the ultrasound on live models.

    At AHEC, CME credit is earned by participating in a course that is challenging and thorough.
